Tyrese Haliburton continues to show off his risk-taking fashion choices with another funky suit before Game 3.

Irrespective of how the NBA Finals turn out, Tyrese Haliburton has cemented his name in NBA history. He has become the only player to knock down game-tying or game-winning shots in four straight series. His shot against the Knicks, in particular, stood out for how dramatic it was and how the game would be lost if he didn’t make the shot. The shot he hit on OKC in Game 1 of the NBA Finals was possibly even more clutch.
Above all, Haliburton trash-talked the Knicks with a funeral suit while walking into Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 6 in the Eastern Conference Finals. He delivered on his word and then roasted Ben Stiller with a tweet after a resounding win. The Pacers are underdogs in the Finals yet again. They are such underdogs that even after taking homecourt advantage away from OKC, the Thunder are still -550 to win the title.
This contest against a clearly more in-tune outfit demands more seriousness. OKC, who have shown to be a goofy young team thus far, have even changed their own outlook to portray more seriousness and focus on winning the whole thing. The change in Haliburton’s pre-game fit also shows a shift in the statements he wishes to make.
He walked into Gainbridge Fieldhouse with what seemed like a regulation suit. However, Tyrese Haliburton has added his own tweak to the conventional suit, adding a spare set of buttons in an old-fashioned style. He wore stylish shades and paired his clothes with a luxury designer bag. His style statement seems to be working in his favor, judging from most of the reactions on NBA social media.

According to ESPN’s NBA insider Shams Charania, Tyrese Haliburton has an ankle issue he’s dealing with. However, his name is not on the injury report and he will play his usual quota of minutes barring any in-game injuries. He appears to be spry and comfortable as usual based on his pre-game shooting regimen and how he went through it.

Don Nelson had rich words of praise for Tyrese Haliburton, plus a word of advice
Legendary former Bucks, Mavericks and Warriors head coach Don Nelson was recently asked his opinion of Tyrese Haliburton. The youngster has put together perhaps the most insane run of clutch shots in a single NBA postseason. But beyond that, Nelson seems to admire his point guard mentality and the way he approaches the game. However, he also had a word of sound advice for the Pacers guard:
Oh, I love his game. I do wish he was a little more aggressive. He’s very unselfish — probably too unselfish. He should probably be a little more aggressive offensively. But he makes the right play almost every time.

Don Nelson isn’t the only NBA personality to call on Tyrese Haliburton to be more aggressive as a scorer. Stephen A. Smith also stoutly criticized his tendency to defer to his teammates and his inability to get separation consistently. Haliburton was held to only four points before the fourth quarters of both Games 1 and 2. He definitely needs to start generating his own looks – something he got to do well in the fourth quarters of both games.
