Tyrese Haliburton SAVAGELY quotes Damian Lillard to troll Patrick Beverley after Bucks first-round exit
Haliburton led the Pacers to its first playoff series win in a decade.
Tyrese Haliburton and Patrick Beverley
Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers finally got past the Bucks, as they advanced to the second round. Throughout the series, Haliburton was the primary scorer for the Pacers, whereas the Bucks were missing their star forward. The outcome of the first round of the playoffs was similar to the previous postseason where the Bucks lost to the 8th seeded Heat without Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Following Game 4, Patrick Beverley talked about defending Haliburton. Beverley showed out in Game 5, putting up 13 points and 12 assists. However, this came after his comments on having the job of guarding Haliburton.
Nothing. Check the numbers, think he’s shooting 19% from the three... If I gave you the ball for 41 minutes, you would have 10 assists also.Patrick Beverley said after the game
Haliburton gave a brutal response which was the same as Damian Lillard‘s shot at Beverley a year ago when he was still in Portland.

The Pacers guard had 10+ assists in three contests throughout the series. Haliburton has averaged 16 points, 9.3 assists, and 5.8 rebounds a game while shooting over 43% from the field so far into the series. Not only that, but Haliburton also sank a game-winner in Game 3, to put the Pacers up 2-1 in the series.
Tyrese Haliburton has led the Pacers to new heights
Ever since Haliburton joined the Pacers back in 2022, the franchise has indeed become more valuable than before. The 24-year-old has led his team to its first playoff appearance since 2020. Not only that, but the Pacers also won its first postseason series since 2014. In the process, Haliburton’s improvement has been immaculate. The Pacer has led the league in assists this season while also scoring the most for his team.
In his last two seasons, Haliburton has also made two All-Star appearances. Taking over the East, the Pacers are now set to face the Knicks in the second round. It will be the battle against the best scorer of the postseason, Jalen Brunson.
This will be one of the most interesting matchups in the second round. Haliburton and company are coming off a tough-fought series and so are the Knicks. However, the Pacers seem more confident going into the second round. Game 1 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday, as the Knicks will look to start things off with a win at home.
