Philadelphia Sixers star, Tyrese Maxey was the most improved star last season and won the award for it. It seems Maxey has put on some muscle this off-season. After the photos of his new look and physique went viral many fans started trolling Maxey. The incident became humorous after the involvement of a drug test.

Recently, the Sixers held a press conference involving Maxey and his contract extension. Maxey was seen wearing a fitted shirt which showed off his muscles. After which fans accused him of taking steroids. After the reaction to his new look, Tyrese Maxey took a drug test for the fans.

Maxey’s gains are a great sign for the Philadelphia Sixers. They have certainly made the biggest moves this off-season with the signing of Paul George. Maxey even signed a five-year $204 million extension with the Sixers. In his last season, he averaged 25.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists and was also named an All-Star.

After Joel Embiid went down with an injury mid-season, Maxey carried the team on his shoulders with impressive performance. He helped the team reach the playoffs but wasn’t successful enough in round 1 against the New York Knicks. With Paul George in the lineup now, Maxey could reap the benefits of playing beside a veteran.

Tyrese Maxey comments on Darius Garland’s post on Instagram

Darius Garland had a great season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He proved to be a great second option behind Donovan Mitchell. Even after a productive season, many trade rumors surfaced involving Garland.

Recently, Garland posted an image on social media, where he was seen practicing for the next season. Sixers star Tyrese Maxey commented on the post and showed his appreciation. Garland and Maxey are two great emerging guards in the league looking to make their mark.

Garland and Maxey have had a total of 13 matchups against each other with Maxey coming on top with 9-4. Both guards are certainly working on their game this off-season and will look to improve their averages from the previous season.
