Tyron Woodley removed from UFC welterweight rankings, No.3 ranked Gilbert Burns reacts on Twitter

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has been snubbed off the ranking list. The question this arises is, ‘has Tyron Woodley’s time come in the promotion?’
The UFC is known to remove a fighter’s name from the ranking and soon follow it with contract termination. We recently saw this with the cases of Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem. Both the fighters were removed from their respective rankings and then snubbed off their contract.

T-wood is coming off a defeat against youngster Vicente Luque at UFC 260 where he lost via a first-round submission. That defeat piled up as the fourth consecutive loss after losing to Colby Covington via TKO. After that loss, even UFC president Dana White suggested that it was over for the former champ in the roster.
If that is the case, then we wish Tyron Woodley a great future after a career many would dream of. He was the champion of the welterweight division having defended his belt four times finally losing it to the current champion, Kamaru Usman. He is undoubtedly one of the best welterweights in the history of the promotion.
Gilbert Burns is shocked that Tyron Woodley is not on the rankings

Gilbert Burns the No.2 ranked welterweight contender took to Twitter reacting to the removal of T-wood from the rankings. Gilbert Burns and Tyron Woodley have previously fought each other at UFC on ESPN: Woodley vs. Burns in the year 2020. The Brazilian saw victory against the former champion via decision.
Dana White after UFC 260 said, “Listen, how old’s Tyron now?39? That’s four in a row. Yeah.” This might be it for Tyron Woodley. T-Wood has seen wins over elite fighters like Stephen Thompson, Darren Till, Robbie Lawler, and Carlos Condit.
