Englishmen Tyrrell Hatton lost his cool at the par-5 14th hole and snapped his golf club in frustration after failing to find the greens.

LIV Golf’s Tyrrell Hatton did not enjoy the best of days during Round Three of the DP World Tour season finale in Dubai. The Englishman was once again unable to control his emotions and broke his golf club in frustration.

After he failed to find the green on the par-5 14th hole, the 33-year-old snapped his golf club. Earlier at the 11th hole he was heard cursing, “f*** you, f****** s*** greens” and banging his putter after he missed a short birdie putt.

His actions were not welcomed by Sky Sports commentator Ewan Murray. Immediately after Hatton broke his golf club, Murray claimed it was time for him to “change” while adding it was a “terrible influence” on future generations.

Oh no, no. It’s time for change, I’m afraid. What a terrible influence on the next generation. I’m sorry to say it, I’m his biggest supporter as a golfer. But just have a look at this. Why? Why would you do that? We’ve all had our moments but he’s having too many of them.

Sky Sports pundit Paul McGinley sided with Murray and admitted that Hatton’s actions were “not acceptable“. In his assessment of the situation, the pundit claimed that he (Hatton) is not a bad person and when he sees this later on, he will be “embarrassed” by his own actions.

Hatton would later go on to chip his next shot for birdie. He eventually finished the day 1-under 71 while being in sixth, three shots behind co-leaders Rory McIlroy, Rasmus Hojgaard, and Antoine Rozner.

DP World Tour star comes into defense of Tyrrell Hatton after LIV Golf star gets slammed

Tyrrell Hatton received a lot of criticism regarding his behavior during Round Three of the DP World Tour Championship. However, one tour star has come into his defense and supported him.

French golfer Romain Langasque would take to his X account and side with Hatton. In his tweet, the 29-year-old expressed that showing frustration was a part of the game and called him great for the game of golf.

Dont agree with even. Beiing human is part of our game. This sport push your limit and sometimes you have to do this kind of thing. Turrell is Great for the game of golf!

This comment from Langasque later sparked a debate in the comment sections. While some fans agreed that it was natural some blasted Hatton and called him out for his actions.

Following the conclusion of the round, the European Tour claimed that Hatton had breached the code of conduct during the event. The tour later added that he would be “fined” for this.
