Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem
Post-retirement, former Miami Heat star Udonis Haslem is known for his tales involving him or other basketball legends during his playing career. Similarly, Haslem opened up on a hilarious story involving his former teammate Dwyane Wade on the OGs podcast, claiming he knocked Wade “out of bounds” to claim the rebounds during play.
Wade hilariously claimed on the podcast that he gave Wade a few “hickeys” on his head for trying to steal his rebounds in-game. Additionally, the Miami Heat’s newest addition Kel’el Ware was also present on the podcast, taking important advice from the former legend. Haslem also claimed that Wade used to get 25 shots whereas he only made 3 shots on a regular.
I put plenty of hickeys on D-Wade's head. Because listen, you get to take 17, 18, 25 shots. I get three shots. And you down here want the rebounds too. No, no, no, no. I'm gonna get it… I knocked that motherf****** out of bounds.Udonis Haslem on the OGs podcast
This degree of aggressiveness shouldn’t be shocking because Haslem is recognized as one of the fiercest players in Heat history. Also, Haslem played a crucial role along with the Heat’s “Big 3” during the 2010s era. It remains to be seen whether Wade opens up on Haslem’s recent take or chooses to ignore it.
Udonis Haslem had a controversial take regarding Dwyane Wade for 2009 Finals MVP award
Udonis Haslem, a former NBA player, recently stated that he disagreed with the 2009 Finals MVP winner. On “The OGs Show,” the legendary Miami Heat player made a bold statement.
He [Wade] probably should've won MVP that year. We’re talking about a guy who was, also at one point, considered the best in the world.Udonis Haslem on the OGs podcast
This is a huge statement coming from someone who watched and played with both at that time, Wade as well as James during Haslem’s time at the Heat.
In addition, as one of the top three NBA players in 2009, Wade led the NBA in total points scored. At the height of his career, the athlete was leading the league in scoring with an average of 30.2 points per game. Wade was the player with the highest scoring total, but he was not the winner.
