UEFA Champions League: AC Milan vs Porto player ratings as the match ends in a 1-1 draw

AC Milan and FC Porto played 1-1 draw in a crucial Champions League fixture at San Siro on Wednesday evening. Porto winger Luis Diaz scored first goal of the match but an own goal from his teammate Chancel Mbemba denied three points for Portuguese giants.
Serie A heavyweights are still without a win in opening four Group B fixtures, and tonight’s draw handed first point. It’s not mathematically over but hopes of qualifying to round of 16 are over for Milan fans.
Porto now sit at 2nd position and will be hoping for Liverpool’s win later tonight against third placed Atletico Madrid. Rossoneri can focus on their title challenge in Serie A, where they are leading the table with 10 wins from opening 11 fixtures.

Davide Calabria(5/10): Luis Diaz caused a lot of of trouble fown the left and won the battle against Calabria every time. Young full-back struggled with marking throughout the game.
Fikayo Tomori(6/10): English international was good in the first half for AC Milan, but in second half he looked a bit off and also carded.
Alessio Romagnoli(6/10): Milan captain was not up to his standard tonight, and indirectly involved in Porto’s goal.
Theo Hernandez(7.5/10): Prolific left-back was brilliant today with his runs which kept Porto’s defence on the heels. He was best player for Italian giants and put man-of-the-match performance.
Sandro Tonali(7/10): Industrious performance from the young Italian midfielder. He continued his sensational season form in the continental tournament also.
Ismael Bennacer(5/10): Algerian midfielder was very inconsistent today and his mistake led to first goal in the opening minutes. He looked solid in the second half but failed to make any impact.
Alexis Saelemaekers(5/10): Only weak link in Milan’s impressive team this season? He was very quiet with creating any chances from the wing.
Brahim Diaz(6/10): He was not good with positioning despite playing at number 10 role. But seemed dangerous when ball at his feet.
Raphael Leao(7/10): Young forward was excellent today with his pace and skills. He was only forward who was giving his everything on the pitch tonight.
Giroud(5/10): Giroud started the game with hopeful high performance but looked tired as game proceed. He was involved in Milan’s goal but that was only good thing about former Chelsea striker.

Diogo Costa(7/10): Young Portuguese made two excellent saves to Giroud’s shot at goal. He was best player for the Porto on Wednesday evening.
Joao Mario(6/10): Right-back was against the Leao tonight but he made no silly mistake and kept his cool to keep Leao off the goal.
Pepe(7.5/10): Veteran centre-back was very good in the back and led the defence with impressive short passing.
Chancel Mbemba(6/10): Mbemba was unfortunate to score own goal and gave away momentum to opposition after that.
Zaidu Sanusi(7/10): Sanusi impressed tonight with very good cover to his back four and was calm on the ball when under the pressure.
Otavio(6/10): Star midfielder was little off today, as he failed to create more chances from the midfield.
Marko Grujic(7.5/10): Former Liverpool flop has been sensation for the Porto since his arrival and tonight was no difference. It was excellent box-to-box performance from the Serbian at San Siro.
Sergio Oliveira(7/10): Created big chance from the free kick for Grujic but Milan’s keeper managed a good save to deny a goal.
Luis Diaz(7.5/10): Diaz was involved in almost every attacking move from the Portuguese giants. He scored the opening goal of the game and was continuous threat against his former club.
Mehdi Taremi(5.5/10): Was very poor with possession tonight and lost the ball on many occasions.
Evanilson(7/10): He was very active going forward and also had two close shots, one was side-netted and another hit the post.
