Israel Adesanya showcases a world-class display against Paulo Costa to hand over the Brazilian his first professional loss. But after TKO, Adesanya humped Costa, desrepecting his opponent.

Israel Adesanya stands at 20-0 in his professional MMA career

In the most awaited match till date of the year, Israel Adesanya defended his Middleweight belt successfully against challenger Paulo Costa at UFC 253. It took Adesanya just over 8 minutes to hand over Costa, his first loss in his professional MMA career. A shear classy display over Adesanya was a treat to watch as to how one should defend a pride filled title match. 

With two undefeated streaks on the line, The Last Stylebender comprehensively got the win for himself via a second-round TKO finish. With Costa constantly looking to mentally taunt Adesanya, posing in between the rounds. The latter let his MMA skills take over and respond to those gestures. 

Adesanya humped Costa after handing him his first loss 

Adesanya not just struck 50 more significant strikes than Costa. But he also toyed with him after TKO-ing. In what is being termed as ‘rawdogged’ Adesanya surely answered all the verbal banters at once in the octagon. After his TKO win, Adesanya humped Costa, disrespecting his opponent.

Israel Adesanya somewhat had a chip on his shoulders. Being on the back of a disappointing victory over Yoel Romero at UFC 248. Having said that, this main event against Paulo Costa, both Izzy and his opponent mocked The Soldier of God for his title fight antics. 

Adesanya got the job done with a left-counter punch and landed a couple of nasty shots on the defenceless Brazilian while he was down on the mat. The ref eventually made the jump and called-off the fight and there it was, Israel Adesanya had shut his haters up for good with yet another dominant Octagon outing. 

Post-fight, Izzy claimed that he is more than ready to defend his strap next against Jared Cannonier if the latter gets past Robert Whittaker at UFC 254.
