UFC 253: Overall fight card of UFC 253

UFC 253 is less than a month away now and the bouts have been announced by the promotion. The event was originally expected to take place on September 19 but has now been confirmed for September 26.

Earlier, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje fight was also speculated to be on the same event but the date was not finalised. Now, the two will be clashing in a titled-unification bout at UFC 254 on 24th October.

The UFC 253 event will be headlining the title fight Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa. Israel Adesanya is the current UFC Middleweight champion while Costa will be looking to grab up this opportunity.

The animosity between the two is very high. The two have got into verbal clashes several times. Recently, Israel Adesanya was in an interview and Paulo Costa suddenly emerged. The two threw verbal punches at each other and the clash turned violent.

The bout was initially supposed to take place at UFC 248 but the fight was delayed as Paulo Costa suffered an injury. Adesanya then faced interim title challenger Yoel Romero and defeated him.

Both Adesanya and Costa have a remarkable career in UFC. The duo are undefeated with Adesanya at 19-0 while Costa at 13-0.

Another title fight set for the event is between Jan Blachowicz and Dominick Reyes. The duo will clash for the UFC Light Heavyweight championship. Blachowicz is a former KSW Light Heavyweight champion.

The fight was scheduled after two-time Jon Jones vacated the belt and now plans to move up to heavyweight division.
