UFC 254: Alexander Volkov puts away Walt Harris via TKO in round 2

Alexander Volkov took on Walt Harris in a heavyweight bout in the main card of UFC 254. The Russian finished off Harris 1:15 into the 2nd round via TKO, adding a 32nd victory to his record. Harris, however was handed his 2nd straight defeat.

Fight Analysis:

Round 1: Volkov landed a considerable amount of strikes. Harris responded with a kick. Combination of strikes followed by a right hand to the body by Volkov. Harris landed a few body shots, forcing Volkov to back away. Kicks to the body by Volkov. Volkov managed to land a good amount of strikes, driving Harris back with 1:28 left to go. Right hand by Volkov to Harris. Volkov landed huge strikes to Harris, Harris responded with a few of his own. Round 1 favoured Volkov with 35-19 in significant strikes.

Round 2(final round): Both men traded big strikes to begin the round. Harris charged forward, looking for a takedown. Both men meet at the centre, kick to the body by Volkov. Harris wrenched in pain, forcing the ref to step in. Nasty body shot by Volkov, winning him the fight.
