UFC Light Heavyweights Magomed Ankalaev and Ion Cutelaba met for the second time as the first fight of UFC 254. The fight between the two served as the first fight of the main card.

This is the second time both the fighters shared the Octagon together. In their first fight, Magomed won via KO. However, the decision given remained controversial as Cutelaba was still on his feet, unfazed. This fight gave them a chance to finally settle the beef.

Round 1 started off with Magomed’s leg kick. Magomed started with a huge front kick and right hook on Cutelaba’s face. Amazing right overhand followed by Cutelaba and a body kick by Magomed. Cutelaba still continued to engage. Both traded shots in the centre of the Octagon. Cutelaba kept on putting pressure over Magomed. Magomed drops Cutelaba but he gets back on his feet. Magomed drops Cutelaba once again with a huge right, followed by a vicious left hook. He follows up with punches, making the referee stop the contest. There is no controversy now.
