UFC 255: Figueiredo vs Perez, Early Prelims Result

The UFC 255 Figueiredo vs Perez has some high-intensity matches lined up for the prelims. Many of the UFC’s new prospects are featuring in Early Prelims. Louis Cosce vs. Sasha Palatnikov, Kyle Daukaus vs. Dustin Stoltzfus, and Jared Gooden vs Alan Jouban are lined up for the early prelims. Here is the UFC 255 Early Prelims result.

Louis Cosce vs Sasha Palatnikov

Sasha Palatnikov was making his UFC debut with this fight. He entered the Octagon as an underdog, the first round started both of them was measuring each other with some kicks and punches in the start. Palatnikov attempts an early takedown but Cosce mounts him and traded some big shots.

This provided him some early momentum in the very first round. Palatnikov is fighting with some serious pace and he kept the pressure high on Cosce. Right from the start of the second round, Palatnikov continues his momentum for the first round and he landed some clean jabs and kicks. Palatnikov tries to hit him with a pair of low kicks but Cosce counters with brutal attacks.

In the third round, it was quite obvious that Palatnikov will look forward to winning, he attempts a quick takedown and landed some nice punches, blood rush down from Cosce’s nose. He further cracks him with a big right hand. Cosce is hurt and the fight is over. Palatnikov makes an impressive debut.

Kyle Daukaus vs. Dustin Stolzfus

Dustin Stolzfus is making his Octagon debut with this fight against Kyle Daukaus who is also in his very second fight in UFC. In the first round, Dustin traded some low kicks and used showed some strong control. Daukaus attempted a single leg takedown but Dustin rolled into an armbar, Daukaus barely survived as the round ends.

In the second round Dustin struck with some punches, Daukaus traded some nice punches but Dustin is using his movement nicely and the best thing to watch is his short knees. Daukaus also tried to change the level but Dustin is looking sharp and both of them moves in a stalemate.

Third round started with Daukaus trying to keep the momentum of his earlier two rounds, Dustin strike with some short strikes and he tries to cover the scoring of the previous two rounds. But Daukaus is looking flawless and the round ends it’s up to the judges now.

Result: Kyle Daukaus def. Dustin Stoltzfus via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27 and 30-26)

Jared Gooden vs Alan Jouban

Jared Gooden is also stepping in the ring for the first time against Alan Jouban who got a nice in-ring experience behind his back. In the very first round, Gooden was looking sharp and in hurry to finish the fight but Jouban is using his experience and controlling the pace of the match. Gooden tries to keep high pressure on Jouban but he kept his composure.

Gooden landed some nice strikes but Jouban used crisp counters to reply to him. In the second round, Gooden again looks in a hurry maybe it was beginners’ excitement that keeping his pace high but Jouban landed some crisp combinations. Gooden also landed some crisp shots and the round end with both of them looking exhausted.

In the third round, Gooden knew that he needs to score a TKO for the win but Jouban is playing quite well. This was hard for someone like Gooden to match his level but he survived three rounds. It’s up to the judges now.
