UFC 255: Mike Perry missed the welterweight mark, coming at the 175.5-pound mark and dabs

The UFC Welterweight fighter Mike Perry is not able to make the weight cut. He weigh-in 175.5 at the machine and not only that Perry dabs after missing the weight. Earlier Perry depicted with his Tweets that he is dying to make the weight cut. He is being heavily trolled on social media because he shared a photo of eating a burger and revealing the strategy to save 20 lbs for a last-minute cut.
Not only Mike Perry his opponent Tim Means also missed the weight. The welterweight weight limit is 156 to 170lbs, Tim Means weigh-in at 171 lbs that means he also missed the mark. Brett Okamoto also confirmed this with his tweet, “Perry vs. Means will go on. Perry forfeits 30 percent of his purse.”
Mike Raimondi also confirms this by his tweet, “Mike Perry weighs in at 175.5 pounds, 4.5 pounds over the welterweight non-title limit.”
Perry makes a heavy mistake

‘Platinum’ Mike Perry got a little overconfident this time while he was eating burger and pizza before a weight cut and this almost cost him the match at UFC 255. If his opponent Tim Means also hasn’t missed the weight this fight was off for Perry. Earlier, with his tweets, Perry expressed that he is dying due to the weight cut. Perry says, “I’m sorry man. I don’t think I can make it”.
He also added, “So easy for people to sit there and say shit but I swear I feel like anyone saying I’m weak for this doesn’t cut weight. It’s death to me. I’m dying already and have 6 more lbs to go. I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but it’s harder than the first 14.”
As both, the fighters missed the weight. They both agreed to fight with a fortified purse with Perry agreeing to fortify 30% of his purse. The burger and pizza that perry ate cost his losing 30% of his fight fee. But he must consider himself lucky that he is still fighting.
