As fans are buckling up for UFC 252, UFC is booking more fights to ensure there is no shortage of action. According to reports, UFC 255 will be a doubleheader. Flyweight titles of both men’s and women’s will be on the line in November.

The news was initially revealed by Brett Okamoto of ESPN on Twitter. He revealed that the UFC 255 is scheduled for Nov 21 and will feature the first title defence of Deiveson Figueiredo against former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt. Deiveson has won the title last month after he submitted Joseph Benavidez in the first round.

On the other hand, Cody Garbrandt  has broke his streak of losses in his last fight at UFC 250 where he defeated Raphael Assuncao.

Garbrandt had expressed his desire to move down to flyweight before the Assuncao fight. He had argued that he has walked around 140-145lb and dropping down won’t be a big challenge for him. But weight cut can be a issue for Garbrandt. However, the Flyweight champ wanted him to compete at 125-pounds.

Valentina Shevchenko will defend her belt fourth time at UFC 255

UFC 255 will also witness the clash for women’s Flyweight title. Valentina Shevchenko will be going to defend her 125-pound gold against Jennifer Maia. The latter has coming from an amazing first-round win over Joanna Calderwood the previous weekend.

Valentina has been a force to be reckoned within the division. She has defended her title thrice till now, with little or no adversity at all. Earlier, she was supposed to defend her belt against Joanne Calderwood at UFC 251. But, she had to out after suffering a leg injury.

Calderwood instead ended up in a fight with Jennifer Maia. The Brazillian scored a big win over Calderwood and got a title shot. But to get that title, she will have to defeat one of the most dominant female fighters in UFC history.
