UFC 257 marks the return of “The Notorious” Conor McGregor in a rematch against “The Diamond” Dustin Poirier, the prelim and early prelim fight card was also stacked with some amazing fights and here are the results.

Prelims results

Arman Tsarukyan defeated Matt Frevola via unanimous decision

Matt Frevola vs. Arman Tsarukyan

Both the fighters started the fight with a brawl, Frevola missed a shot and Tsarukyan secured a takedown, Frevola got up but Tsarukyan landed some pretty nice knees. In round 2 and round 3 Tsarukyan took Fervola down in the starting of the round and landed heavy ground impound.

Result: Arman Tsarukyan def. Matt Frevola via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Brad Tavares defeated Antonio Carlos Junior via unanimous decision

Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Brad Tavares

The fight started with Brad Tavares throwing heavy leg kicks and mixing in some nice punches, Carlos was getting busted up and he decided to shoot for a takedown but couldn’t score it, he tries to clinch Tavares but couldn’t hold him against the fence but he hits him with a groin shot, fight pause for some time and the continued.

Second round was no different Tavares was landing nice leg kicks and punches Carlos was trying to take him down but couldn’t stop it. Same thing happened in third round Tavares kicks Carlos in the groin and again fight started after some time.

Result: Brad Tavares def. Antonio Carlos Junior via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Julianna Pena defeated Sara McMann via. submission

Sara McMann vs. Julianna Pena

McMann started the fight aggressively and landed some clean shots, Pena tries to strike back but gets takedown. McMann landed some nasty elbows from the top and finished the fight there.

Pena started the round by pushing McMann against the cage and landing some shots, McMann took her down but got struck in a guillotine choke, she escaped and maintained control on the top. Pena stayed more active on the top and then got up to land some nice knees.

Pena lands a nice trip and got McMann’s back and submitted her via rear naked choke. In the post fight interview Pena called out both Amanda Nunes and Valentia Shevchenko.

Marcin Prachnio defeated Khalil Rountree via, unanimous decision

Marcin Prachino vs. Khalil Rountree

Prachino and Rountree started the fight by some nasty striking. Both of them looks pretty even on the feet, Prachino missed a big head kick and then Rountree missed a big head kick.

In the second round Prachino got dropped and absorbed a body shot after getting up, he made a decent comeback and landed some shots of his own. In round 3 Prachino was all over Rountree and finished strong.

Result: Marcin Prachnio def. Khalil Rountree via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Early-Prelims results

Movsar Evloev defeated Nik Lentz via split decision

Movsar Evloev vs. Nik Lentz

Lentz started the fight with a head kick and he was putting a lot of pressure, Evloev now started counters of his own. Both looked pretty even on the feet, Lentz shoots for the takedown and got reversed, he tried to get up but got hit some pretty bad knees, very close round.

Round 2 looked pretty even as well Lentz landed a head kick and then followed it up with a jab, Evloev is now looking confident on the feet, Lentz goes for the takedown but got stuffed and then in round three Evloev pushed Lentz on the backfoot.

Result: Movsar Evloev def. Nik Lentz via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)

Amir Albazi defeated Zhalgas Zhumagulov via unanimous decision

Amir Albazi vs. Zhalgas Zhumagulov

Albazi started the fight pretty aggressively and landed some nice leg kicks Zhumagulov looks calm and composed he was looking to counter and landed some nasty punches. Zhumagulov scored a takedown and then at the ending of the round Albazi scored a takedown of his own.

Albazi landed some nasty leg kicks in the second round and stuffed a takedown as well. Albazi scored a significant takedown in the last round and controlled his opponent through a significant amount of time and won the round.

Result: Amir Albazi def. Zhalgas Zhumagulov via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
