In the women’s flyweight division, American, Jessica Eye took on Joanne Calderwood of Scotland. Both the fighters were coming of a loss and were looking forward to getting back to winning ways.
Round 1 :
Eye began the round as the aggressor. They traded punches. Calderwood then connected with a pair of knees, and followed it up with a body kick. Calderwood then pressed Eye against the fence. Eye freed herself and then the two trade blows. Calderwood then landed a few knees. They then exchanged blows again. Eye connected with a few uppercuts, to which Calderwood responded with knees. Eye again connected with an uppercut, and Calderwood scored a body kick. Tight round. 10-9 Calderwood

Round 2 :
Calderwood began with a body kick. A trip from Calderwood then, but Eye got back up immediately. Calderwood then connected with knees and short punches. Eye then lands a perfect combo, followed by a straight right. Calderwood then landed a pair of knees to the head of Eye. She then landed a nice body kick. Eye then landed a jab, to which Calderwood responded with a body kick. Eye then executed a takedown and kept Calderwood grounded, with not much action for the remainder of round. 10-9 Calderwood
Round 3 :
Calderwood made a bright start to the final round with a nice body kick. Eye then took her to the fence, and tried to take the fight to the mat. But, Calderwood kept her at bay. Calderwood then landed a body kick and a punch. Eye then attempted an unsuccessful takedown. Calderwood then landed a pair of knees. Then they traded blows. Calderwood, once again landed a knee and then finished the round with a perfect takedown. 10-9 Calderwood
Winner : Joanne Calderwood def. Jessica Eye via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
