The first fight of the UFC 257 main card was a women’s strawweight bout, between Marina Rodriguez and Amanda Ribas. Marina Rodriguez was coming off her first loss in her professional career, whereas fellow Brazilian, Amanda Ribas was on an impressive 5 match win streak.

Round 1 :

Ribas began the round as the aggressor. Ribas then landed a pair of jabs, followed by an inside leg kick. A dominating Ribas, then executed a successful takedown. She then tried to land a few punches, but was kept at bay by Rodriguez. There is not much of action next and the round ended. 10-9 Ribas

Round 2 :

Rodriguez stepped it up in the second round. She landed huge right hands followed by a knee. She then landed a massive left hand, rocking Amanda Ribas who dropped face first. Ribas was heavily hurt and began walking away, before the referee pulled a stop. Impressive stuff!
