UFC 258: Ricky Simon defeats Brian Kelleher via unanimous decision

The featherweight contest between Brian Kelleher (22-11 MMA, 6-4 UFC) and Ricky Simon (17-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) happened today at UFC 258: Usman vs Burns and Ricky Simon defeated Ricky Simon via unanimous decision.

Round 1: Simon got the earlt takdown and landed some niche punches and a clean elbow to cut Kelleher open, he fight stayed on the ground for a while as he tries a couple of arm triangles but couldnt finish it. Kelleher got up and is bleeding from the center of his head, he is getting out boxed and got taken down again. 10-9 in favor of Simon.

Round 2: Simon started the round with nice pace landing strikes and landing takedowns, he again trie to secure a choke but couldnt complete it, Kelleher is now countering some shots and he lands a nice front kick to the face. Simon again shoots for a takedown but Simon tease a guillotine but nothing happened there.

Round 3: Kelleher is now looking to get a finish or else hes going to loose, so he let his hands loose and misses with some shots. Simon is still landing and keeping the pace, he again secures a takedown and almost got caught in a guillotine and scrambles out. They got up just as the round was ending and Kelleher lands a nice front kick to the face, but couldnt do any significant damage.

Result: Ricky Simon def. Brian Kelleher via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
