UFC 261 to be held in Vegas after Singapore talks fail; Zhang Weili vs Rose Namajunas strawweight title bout to headline the event?

It looks like Zhang Weili vs Rose Namajunas’s expected fight at UFC 261, which was initially supposed to be held in Singapore, is going to be held in Las Vegas, after all. The match will be Weili’s second title defense, against the former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas.
Earlier last month, UFC President, Dana White said of Zhang Weili, “We’re working on her, too. Obviously, the fight everybody wants to see is her and Rose. Hopefully we can get that done. If not, the next one in line would probably be Carla Esparza. We’re looking to do that fight this year – and in Asia.”
However, the latest development is that the UFC is planning to go ahead with the event in Vegas, due to strict COVID protocols and failed negotiation with the Singapore government.
Weili is undefeated in the UFC!
Zhang Weili is coming off ‘that war’ against Joanna Jędrzejczyk at UFC 248. She put on a warrior’s performance (in fact both the fighters did), winning via split decision, thereby successfully defending her Strawweight Championship. The 21-1 Weili, is 5-0 in the UFC, after having made her debut at UFC 227 in August, 2018.
Rose Namajunas, on the other hand, is coming off a ‘rematch’ victory against Jessica Andrade at UFC 251, after losing to her at UFC 237. The number one ranked women’s strawweight contender will be looking forward to striking gold.

Light Heavyweight bout: Anthony Smith vs. Jimmy Crute
Bantamweight bout: Danaa Batgerel vs. Kevin Natividad
