UFC 262 fight card
UFC 262 is here and the card is stacked from top to bottom. The event is headlined by the vacant lightweight title bout between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler in the main event of the main card. In the co-main event of UFC 262, Beneil Dariush takes on Tony Ferguson, the former interim lightweight champion.
UFC 262 takes place at Toyota Center in Houston. The early prelims kicked off at 4 AM (IST) and the preliminary card has 4 fights that start at 5 AM(IST). Results of UFC 262 preliminary card
Andrea Lee vs. Antonina Shevchenko:
Round 1: Andrea Lee starts of the first fight of UFC 262 prelims with a low kick and then hits Shevchenko with a high one. Lee strong with her kicks and also dodges the punches thrown her way. Lee mixing levels and wrapping her body around Shevchenko and pushes her to the cage. Shevchenko with a clinch and she throws punches and knee in there. Lee finally able to pull out. Lee with a high kick over a spinning back fist. Lee takes her down and starts throwing punches. Round ends with Lee on top.
Round 2: Shevchenko looking to be the aggressor this time. Spinning back fist again from Lee and she misses. Both the fighters scramble on the floor but Lee manages to stay on top. Shevchenko is stuck in Lee’s hold. Lee looking for the triangle choke and is trying hard to squeeze. Shevchenko is not able to escape. One minute left in the round and the fight is on the canvas. Lee finally gets control of the right arm and finally makes Shevchenko tap. What a fight!

Jamie Pickett vs. Jordan Wright:
Round 1: Wright looking for the big shot right away and misses a big right hand. Pickett kicks the body and looks for the takedown. Pickett is successful. Wright manages well and starts throwing some deadly elbows. Pickett is looking to defend but Wright just won’t stop as he throws a flurry of punches. Jamie facing a lot of damage right now, he pulls away but Wright throws a knee from the clinch that drops Pickett. Wright does not stop punching and the fight is over ladies and gentlemen. Just like that!

Mike Grundy vs. Lando Vannata:
Round 1: Grundy looking a bit rushed as he goes forward but Vannata slips away from him and fires a few strikes. Grundy playing the fake changing levels. Grundy looks to throw a knee and it lands on Vannata’s groin. Vannata is looking nice and quick with these strikes. Grundy goes for the takedown, but Vannata is fast to come back up. Grundy with another takedown missed but eventually gets Vannata to the floor. But Lando is back up again. Vannata misses spinning kick. Grundy with a neat left. Mike looks for the takedown but can’t make it. Round ends.
Round 2: Vannata with a high kick to start the round off. Huge right hand. Grundy shoots again but Vannata defends it well once again. Grundy looking to strike now and lands a right hand. Vannata responds with a flurry of punches. Vannata with a high kick. Kicks to the body and legs from Vannata. Solid right hand from Grundy to the body as the round ends on feet.
Round 3: Vannata acts as the aggressor in the final round. Once again Vannata’s takedown defense Grundy keeps pressing forward and both of the fighters are in a scramble. Vannata responds and grabs Grundy to slam him on the canvas. Vannata decides to stay on his feet. Grundy with another big right hand. Grundy once again fails to take him down. Vanatta lands body kicks as he shuffles. Big left for Grundy. Round ends

Andre Muniz vs. Ronaldo Souza:
Round 1: Both the men throw jabs to start the round off with. Souza goes forwards with his punches. Muniz shifts and starts to land kicks on the body. Lots of kicks exchanged from both the fighters. Souza drives for takedown. Muniz defends but Souza lifts him and throws him on the canvas. Muniz manages to comeback on feet. Muniz this time with the takedown. Souza uses the cage to stand back up. Both of them in a clinch but move away to reset. Muniz shoots for takedown but Souza turns and stands. Muniz tries to isolate arm as he slips and falls. Muniz twists the arm and Souza does not tap. Souza seems to have snapped a limb. Game over.
