“I’m gonna go out there and try to break this dude as fast as possible,” Justin Gaethje issues a warning to Michael Chandler ahead of their fight at UFC 268

Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler
The former UFC Lightweight title challenger and number 2nd ranked Lightweight fighter, Justin Gaethje is going to face the former Bellator Lightweight champion, Michael Chandler at UFC 268. This fight is going to be one of the most violent fights in the Lightweight division history as it is expected by fight fans around the world.
Gaethje will be stepping into this fight with a loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov in his last fight and Chandler with a loss against Charles Oliveira in his last fight. Both of them were so close to winning the UFC title and now they’re facing each other.
Justin Gaethje will be stepping inside the Octagon almost after a year and in his recent interview with Brett Okamoto for ESPN, when he was asked about his motivation for coming into this fight, Gaethje says,
“The loss is the biggest motivator, for a competitor to lose is detrimental, so that’s why I’m gonna be in such great shape at this camp because I got that week and jumped straight on the aerodyne, told my coach I had to do something more and I had to keep pushing it.”
“That’s why loss is a big factor for people like me to go in there and again prove myself right. Confidence is the ultimate factor and I’ve been working my whole life towards this one goal and I’ll be a fool to not give everything at this moment.”
Justin Gaethje believes no one got a more impressive resume than him in the Lightweight division

Justin Gaethje is training with the UFC Welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, and UFC women’s strawweight champion, Rose Namajunas for his fight. His opponent Michael Chandler holds many impressive knockout victories in his record but Gaethje believes no one got a more impressive resume than him.
Talking about Chandler’s strategy in this fight at UFC 268, Justin Gaethje says, “I think he is gonna come out firing the shots, I think it is going to be a great fight. It is going to be fun for the crowd, fun for me, you know he’ll start wrestling after I start landing big shots, and probably but again I’ve been defending takedowns my entire life, if he’s gonna waste his energy there that’s fine.”
“When he stands up he won’t be able to block his face anymore.” In the end, he issued a warning to Michael Chandler by flaunting his resume and saying, “I’m gonna go out there and try to break this dude as fast as possible, as violently as possible, obviously.”
“Most violent man, all that bulls**t doesn’t matter. I’m 22-3 with 19 knockouts, which one of these dudes can say that? Which one of those dudes can say that they got nine bonuses in their first seven fights? None of them.”
