Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje

Michael Chandler can’t wait to get his hands on UFC’s fan-favorite Justin Gaethje at UFC 268. “Iron” makes a bold claim ahead of his exciting fight.

Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje are scheduled to fight at UFC 268. The event is scheduled to take place in the Madison Square Garden in New York. The event has a stacked card with Chandler vs Gaethje being one of the most anticipated ones. There have already been heated exchanges between the two fighters and it is safe to say the lightweights will put on an entertaining display of fighting.

Chandler is a former Bellator lightweight champion and made his UFC debut in style by knocking out Dan Hooker at UFC 257. With only one fight under the banner, he was rewarded with a title shot for the vacant title shot against Charles Oliveira which he lost via KO. Michael is confident to come back from that fight and finishes Gaethje according to his recent tweet which suggests fireworks in the octgaon.

“Here is a promise to you all…I’m coming forward with reckless abandon. He will take the first backward step,” wrote Chandler in his recent tweet. The lightweight has promised an exciting fight as he says he would keep moving forward and putting the pressure no matter what happens. We all know that Justin is a dangerous striker and has the power to put Chandler to sleep. This will be an interesting battle.

Justin has not fought in the octagon ever since his title shot loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254. Gaethje lost via submission in the second round. “The Highlight” will be entering the octagon after a whole year. Despite several pleads, Gaethje could not get a proper matchup all this time but finally, Michael has stepped up. There is no doubt that this fighter might be the title contender fight.
