“Julianna made her quit, she didn’t just quit on her own,” Joe Rogan trashes Amanda Nunes for inexcusable performance at UFC 269

Amanda Nunes and Joe Rogan
The former UFC Bantamweight champion, Amanda Nunes gave one of the worst performances of her MMA career in the Bantamweight title defense against Julianna Pena at the co-main event of UFC 269. Pena produced one of the biggest upsets and became the new UFC women’s Bantamweight champion.
Pena was a -1000 betting underdog coming into this fight but she defied all the odds and left the Octagon with UFC Bantamweight title around her waist. Nunes’ performance was criticized by many fellow UFC pundits and the UFC commentator, Joe Rogan is also one of them.
Rogan was handling his duties ringside on the same night and talking about Amanda Nunes’s performance in his latest Youtube video at Joe Rogan Podcast, he says, “The thing is, one thing I did say leading up to the fight, as they were getting ready, you have to think of all the times where someone has underestimated someone,”
“You can never underestimate an opponent. You can’t go into a fight not nervous. You can’t go into a fight completely sure you’re gonna win when that other person is hungry and scared, because weird things happen when people underestimate people. But f*ck, that was nuts.” {H/t MMA Fighting}
Joe Rogan is still stunned about Amanda Nunes’s unbelievable performance

Amanda Nunes opened the fight against Julianna Pena with a strong first round, she even dropped her twice in that round. But in the second round she appeared to be gassed out which leads Pena to ultimately make her tap with a rear-naked choke and likewise the whole MMA fraternity, Joe Rogan is still stunned about Nunes’s loss.
Nunes says, “It was caused by Julianna. Julianna made her quit, she didn’t just quit on her own. You’ve got to give Julianna all the credit. … You know, that is what Julianna said leading up to the fight.”
“She said I’m going to bring her back to what it was like when she was younger and she would quit in fights. There were fights where she got exhausted and lost her way, and then she became the greatest of all time. It’s wild to see the difference.” {H/t MMA Fighting}
