The Flyweight contest of UFC 269 features the fight between the number sixth-ranked UFC Flyweight fighter, Kai Kara France facing the former UFC Bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt making his Flyweight debut. France is coming into this fight with his latest win coming against Rogerio Bontorin on UFC 259.

While Cody Garbrandt will be stepping into this fight at UFC 269 with his recent loss coming against Rob Font on UFC Fight Night: Garbrandt vs Font.

Round 1: Garbrandt starts the fight with a kick to the calf and moved outwards to land some of the faints. He worked on that leg kicks and lands couple more of them. Kara France still moved in the middle and hasn’t landed any shots until the first minute. He tries to jab some faints and swung a big right hand but misses. Head kick attempt from Kara France but blocked by Garbrandt.

Kai Kara France drops Garbrandt with a right hand and he hurt him badly. Cody Garbrandt stands up pretty quick but he wobbled and Kara France follows him and lands one more right hand. Garbrandt got hurt by that and Kara France unloads again, Garbrandt got dropped down and that’s it.

Kai Kara France moved to a two-fight win streak with a win in this fight and he secured the biggest win of his career against Cody Garbrandt at UFC 269. Kara France stated during the post-fight Octagon interview that he wants to fight for the title fight next.

The UFC Flyweight champion, Brandon Moreno is booked to face Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 270 and Kara France added that he’ll be closely watching that fight.
