Ariel Helwani has an interesting question that could be a matter of France’s legacy as a flyweight so far. “Does KKF move past Askarov and/or Pantoja with that one? He might. That is a big win over a big name. And rest assured Garbrandt was getting a title shot with a W.”

Here’s MMA History Today tweeting and reflecting simultaneously on Cody Garbrandt and Dominick Cruz’s fight “This is such a crazy sport. ESPN Correspondent Brett Okamoto tweets “Kai Kara-France gets Cody Garbrandt out of there in the first round. Dropped him with a right hand and never looked back. Garbrandt nearly prolonged it with a slick takedown, but Kara-France got back up, patient about the finish. Big win. Garbrandt falls to 1-5 in last six.”

MMA legend Daniel Cormier, who’s also commenting tonight at UFC 269, tweeted a proposal for the fans! “Kai Kara France vs Manel Kape! Would be madness !!!!!”
