The co-main event of UFC 270 is here with the much-awaited trilogy title fight of Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo 3.

UFC 270 is the first pay-per-view card of 2022 and the co-main event is here to put you on the edge of your seats. The two flyweight kings go head to head for the third time in their career as they look to put on a show. The event takes place at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Brandon Moreno defends his flyweight belt against his fierce rival Deiveson Figueiredo.

The two fighters are facing each other in the octagon for the third successive time which makes this trilogy very interesting. The first time these two fought, it ended up in a draw. When they fought in a rematch at UFC 263, Moreno created history by choking out Deiveson and becoming the first-ever Mexican champion in the UFC. Round 1 Both the fighters touch gloves and take the center. A low kick from Figueiredo that lands. Deiveson turns the pressure on Moreno. Moreno attempted high kick that doesn’t land. Huge low kick from Deiveson and Moreno counters with a right hand that lands. Spinning low kick from Moreno. Body kick from Deiveson to end the round.

Round 2 Moreno with a left hand that connects. Both the fighters looking for the right range. Great scramble from the two flyweights only to be back to their feet. A great left hand from the Mexican followed by another right but Deiveson counters. What an exchange from the two fighters.

Round 3 Deiveson gets the takedown and puts Moreno against the cage. Brandon works his way up and the fight is on the feet. Huge left hand from Figueiredo and Moreno catches him in the exchange. Moreno hurting the Brazilian. Calf kick drops Moreno to the ground. Both the fighters picked their moments and scored. A high kick from Moreno. Moreno gets hurt in the final seconds but is saved by the bell.

Round 4 Another outside leg kick for Deiveson. Moreno with successive low kicks but Figgy laughs it off. High kick from Moreno but does not follow up with anything dangerous. Figgy looking desperate to get the finish as he tries to engage in a scrap. Moreno throwing a beating on Figgy with his back against the cage.

Round 5 Championship round. Moreno a little more aggressive in his approach. Takedown for the Mexican champ. Figgy finds a way to stand up and comes at Moreno once again. Left hand for Moreno. Great right hand from Figgy and smoothly dodges opponent’s counter. Both the fighters now scrap on foot. Both the fighters in an amazing exchange and Moreno with a barrage of punches. What an end to the flyweight fight!! Avery close fight.
