The main card of UFC 272 is here with a spectacular middleweight bout of Edson Barboza vs Bryce Mitchell.

UFC 272 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by a grudge fight between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. In this fighter, two vicious fighters will take on each other in a featherweight bout.

Both the fighters are quite aggressive but, in a different way. While Barboza is an illustrious striker Mitchell‘s strength is his grappling. With Barboza coming down a weight class for this fight he is going to enjoy the power advantage. Bryce may come up with a takedown strategy against Barboza. So, Let’s see who gets his hand raised at UFC 272.

Round 1: Both the fighters started off by assessing each other’s range. Barboza has revealed his leg kick and a combination strategy. Bryce connects with a big left hand to rock Barboza. This heavy left almost knocked him out but Barbioza manages to survive. However, Bryce takes advantage of the knockdown and mounts over Edson to hold a dominant position over him on the canvas. Mitchell is using this opportunity to land some heavy shots. All Barboza is doing is putting his guards up. Finally, Barboza manages to get out of the position but the first round certainly goes to Bryce.

Round 2: As expected and proved strategy against someone like Edson Barboza, Bryce tries for a takedown and gets it in the first 3o secs of the second round. Mitchell is holding the position and is trying to ground and pound Barboza. A big elbow from Mitchell cut Edson Barboza’s face. Edson is not trying enough o get back on his feet. he is only closing his guard. But, by doing this the time and his energy is only running out giving Bryce the upper hand in points. Finally, Barboza gets up but only to be taken down again by Bryce. Only this time Bryce manages to land some big right hands and it looks like Barboza has no answers for Mitchell’s grappling. seems like it’s two rounds for Mitchell at UFC 272.

Round 3: Barboza looks aggressive and he has to be since he can only win by a KO or TKO. But, Bryce again takes down Barboza, he is getting dominated on the canvas. Barboza tried for a lock but Bryce knows how to get out of it and he does that. Looks like it is over for Barboza as he looks drained and tired after spending almost the whole fight on the ground. Bryce is utilizing his position with heavy right hands and Barboza is absorbing it all. Bryce controlled Narbnoza on the ground for 11 minutes of the 15 min fight. The time is up and we all who is getting his hand raised.

Results: Bryce Mitchell wins via unanimous decision (30-25, 30-26, 30-27)
