The lightweight bout between Michael Chandler (22-7 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (25-6 MMA, 15-4 UFC) just went down at UFC 274. These are two of the best lightweights on the planet, and even after some great performances both of them were on losing streaks.
Chandler came into the UFC and made a debut of a lifetime against Dan Hooker. Since then, he’s been on a two-fight skid, and he was looking to get back in the win column, and possibly in the title contention with this fight. Ferguson on the other hand was coming from three back-to-back losses, and he promised to make a legendary comeback.
Round 1 – The fight started with both fighters sizing each other up. Chandler came in with some leg kicks, but Ferguson was quick enough to check them. He took his time to engage and came in with stinging jabs. Chandler missed a looping cross, and Ferguson capitalized on the opportunity to knock him down.
Chandler was hurt bad, but he got back to his feet, Ferguson was hot on his trail, he chased him but Chandler got back into the fight, and secured a big takedown. He landed crisp shots from the top and finished the round strong.

Round 2- Ferguson was oozing with confidence at the round of start 2, and he came into the center of the octagon. Chandler was looking for his big shot, and he landed a perfectly placed front kick, that knocked Tony out cold.
Everyone in the arena lost their mind, and it was unbelievable. Nobody thought you can do that sort of thing to Tony, but Chandler did, and he did it with as many style points as possible.
