UFC is the biggest MMA promotion in the world and has fans all around the world and it’s the same with Hollywood. Many popular celebrities from the industry are UFC fans and often attend events to support their favorite fighters and watch MMA action.
Former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov once posted a picture with Hollywood legend Leonardo DiCaprio. In the caption, Nurmagomedov shared that the Titanic star knows more about MMA than the ‘Eagle’.
DiCaprio has always been a fan of MMA and was seen in various PPV events such as UFC 167 and UFC 196. The last time DiCaprio was in attendance was at the iconic UFC 229 that took place between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, since then the actor has never been spotted in UFC events.

UFC 229 is the biggest-selling PPV event in UFC history which ended in a very dramatic way. After submitting Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov decided to jump over the cage into the crowd where McGregor’s team was sitting. It was a brawl, total chaos which is still one of the biggest moments in UFC history. During one Interview, Nurmagomedov mentioned how he landed near Leonardo DiCaprio when he jumped into the cross.
“Honestly, I didn’t recognize them, apart from Leonardo DiCaprio,” Nurmagomedov said about the celebrities sitting in the first row when he jumped out of the Octagon while talking to MatchTV in Russia. “He is a big fan of martial arts. He told me, ‘I was sitting five meters away, you nearly landed on me!’ It was interesting to me how he would sit there.
“He’s a regular guy, but it was surprising to me when people came up to him for a photo, he said ‘I don’t take photos.’ I asked why, and he said it’s not possible to make everyone happy. He said he only takes photos with kids. With everyone else, it’s not possible. That surprised me, but in general, he’s a regular guy.” Khabib Nurmagomedov was highly impressed by the humbleness of DiCaprio and how he likes to stay as a regular person even after having such popularity.
