A loss against your biggest rival is never easy to get over but Jorge Masvidal is doing alright according to American Top Team’s Dan Lambert.
Dan Lambert, the founder of American Top Team reveals how his biggest fighter, Jorge Masvidal is dealing with the devastating defeat at UFC 272. Colby Covington got the last laugh after the grudge match at UFC 272 after beating his former teammate, roommate, friend, Masvidal via unanimous decision in the main event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dan speaks to MMA reporter The Schmo and gives his reaction to the blockbuster grudge fight. There is no one who knows the two fighters, Masvidal and Colby better than Lambert himself. Despite seeing Masvidal lose, Dan wasn’t too surprised by the result. “It went probably the way a lot of people thought it would go,” said Lambert.

“Colby’s gas and wrestling was good and he put it on Jorge. he was able to neutralize Jorge. Jorge had some moments and dropped him in the fourth, but Colby’s got a good chin and great gas think. Props to him,” Lambert said to Schmo, giving his thoughts on the fight.
Now that Masvidal has a record of 2-3 in his last five fights, Lambert reveals who he would like to see the American Top Team superstar fight next. “I speak to Jorge all the time. He is in good spirits. Wishes he had better gas and wrestling in the tank. One loss isn’t gonna off-track him so much,” said Lambert.
“I would like to see him fight Nate or Conor. See him in big fights now.” Jorge and Nate have already fought once in the past and “Gamebred” won the fight via TKO. Masvidal vs Conor is a fight that the fans have been wanting to see for a long time and there couldn’t possibly be a fight that would do more in numbers than that one.
