“Kamaru Usman never said no to anybody”- Ali Abdelaziz comments on Khamzat Chimaev’s prospects of bagging a title fight

Ali Abdelaziz is one of the most celebrated managers in the UFC. He has some high-profile clients like Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje, and Islam Makhachev. He is been in many back and forths with several of his client’s rivals. He even got into a fistfight with Colby Covington at a Las Vegas Hotel.
Recently in an interview given to ESPN MMA when asked if Kamaru will be interested in fighting Khamzat Chimaev, Ali Abdelaziz replied “Kamaru never said no to anybody. We were chasing people down in the hotel rooms and lobbies to fight people.” Kamaru recently defended his title against Colby Covington and won via unanimous decision. He takes on Leon Edwards in the upcoming international fight week. If he successfully gets by Leon then there are some interesting matchups to be made in the welterweight division.

Gilbert Burns is coming off a loss to Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC 273. The bout between Khamzat and Gilbert got the fight of the night recognition. It was a three-round war where Khamzat came out victorious.
Speaking to TMZ Sports on a possible showdown between Kamaru and Khamzat in the future he said, “The difference as of right now for sure… after this war, that guy’s going to get better, I believe. I’m gonna get better; he’s gonna get better. But the IQ of Kamaru Usman, if I’ve gotta answer that question right now, will be the difference. Kamaru is a very intelligent and tested fighter. He’s been in the wars, he’s been against the best guys around, and I think Kamaru’s MMA wrestling is better than Khamzat’s.” Khamzat will be a slight underdog against Kamaru Usman but it remains to be seen what will happen in the future if these two fighters square off.
