Aljamain Sterling can’t stop having a blast watching how the co-main event fight turned out at UFC Vegas 51. UFC Vegas 51 witnessed a rare incident that took place in the Middleweight bout between Caio Borralho and Gqdzhi Omargadzhiev.
The bout started of with both fighters trying their best to get the best of each other. As the fight continued, the Brazilian took charge and was more effective than before. Borralho was connecting strikes and and was also controlling the Russian on the ground. He didn’t give Omargadzhiev any chance to recover and fight back.
In the third round, while both were struggling to get a finish, Borralho caught Omargadzhiev with a knee to the head. When he landed the shot, Omargadzhiev was on the ground and the knee was declared illegal. The fight was immediately stopped by the referee and Omargadzhiev was given time to recover. As the ringside doctor checked Omargadzhiev, he couldn’t continue the fight and it was stopped.
As the results from the judges were announced, fight fans were surprised as Borralho won the fight via technical decision

Aljamain Sterling reacts to Caio Borralho’s illegal
As the incident was similar to what happened a year before between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan, the champ took this opportunity to make some jokes.
When Sterling was hit by Yan with an illegal knee UFC 259, the fight was also stopped and he was declared the winner. But the MMA community as well as Yan called him an actor and fake champion. What happened today was a great chance for ‘The Funkmaster’ to get back at the fans. He took to Twitter and wrote
The fighter also tweeted that he hopes that the fight community will react to this situation the same way they did in his case. Sterling explained that according to fans these knees don’t hurt in a sarcastic tone. “
