Henry Cejudo on Aljamain Sterling

Aljamain Sterling took on Petr Yan in UFC 273 and emerged victorious after the five-round battle. Aljamain showed his world-class grappling skills in the 2nd and the 3rd round after he successfully took Petr Yan down and kept him there for the majority of the round.  He won by a split decision and successfully defended his title for the very first time.

After the fight, he was quick to call out TJ Dillashaw who was cage-side watching the fight. In the post-fight press conference, Aljamain said he will happy to take on Henry Cejudo for his second title defense in the future and admitted that Cejudo will be his toughest opponent so far. He was quoted saying If the muppet wants to come back and triple C wants to get demoted to double C we can do that.”.

Cejudo is one of the most successful mixed martial artists of all time. He was a two-division champion in the UFC (Bantamweight and Flyweight.) He was one of the very few who defeated all-time great Demetrious Johnson. For his final fight, he dominated Dominick Cruz and rode off to the sunset.

Cejudo didn’t like what Aljamain said about him in the post-fight press conference and replied with some harsh words. He thought Petr Yan won the fight and Aljamain was not the deserving winner. He also announced on Twitter “I’m getting back in the pool” referring to him getting back into the USADA testing pool.

He is one of the only five fighters to hold two UFC belts in their respective careers. Henry Cejudo also defeated the current UFC Bantamweight contender when they fought a few years ago. If Henry Cejudo and Aljamain Sterling face each other in the future many critics believe Henry will take the belt home as his game is very wrestling heavy.
