T.J. Dillashaw, the former champion of the bantamweight division is officially back from his ban and is ready to take what’s his. Sterling called out TJ in the post-fight calling the former champ “Needleshaw” taking shots at his past with steroids. TJ was in the crowd, and he said this in response, “Thanks for the call out my little b**ch. I hope you had fun pretending to be the champ because like I’ve always been saying, Daddy’s home. I’m getting that belt. Easy money.”

TJ has been Sterling’s biggest critic, and now that Sterling has the bragging rights, he took shots at him during the post-fight conference, he said, “The guy’s just been nonstop talking about me, talking about my heart and … the spirit of a fighter. The spirit of a fighter is someone who’s never going to give up, if you ask me, and I think I showed that this time.”

Sterling then went on to talk about his toughness, and he said it’s almost impossible for anyone to get him out of there, “I think I showed that even in my worst night, which was my first performance against Yan. That was a shell of myself and he couldn’t get me out of there that night, and he wasn’t going to get me out of there this night, either. I showed what I’m capable of, and where my mental fortitude is at. You’re going to need a lot more than that to break me and make me quit in there,” Sterling concluded.
