UFC Austin brings a very technical lightweight matchup between Guram Kutateladze and Damir Ismagulov. Both of them are elite opponents and have great reputations in their careers.

Round 1: Both the fighters take the center of the octagon as the bell goes. Ismagulov looks very swift on his feet and works the jab. Kutateladze with a fantastic body kick but Ismagulov is not fazed by it. Kutateladze pushes Ismagulov on the ropes and lands huge knees on his opponent. Ismagulov manages to come out of the pressure and now is back swinging. Kutateladze with the opportunity to finish the fight but loses composure.

Round 2: Heading into the second round, Guram is leading on the scorecard with strikes and takedown. Body kick from Damir that lands well. Guram and Damir both look very swift and it looks like an intense battle. Both the fighters are elite in their defense which makes it very tough for both fighters to land their shots. Huge right hand from Guram to Damir’s face. An amazing knee from Damir to defend his opponent’s takedown. A spinning head kick that is out of nowhere for Guram. A lot of damage on the face of the Georgian fighter.

Round 3: More and more low kicks for Guram. Amazing movement from Ismagulov which help him land great jabs. None of the two fighters look tired as they continue to bop on their feet. Great body feints from both the fighters. Guram misses a straight kick attempt. A very close fight so far. Unless there is a finish the judges could swing either way. Guram lands a knee to the chest while Damir goes down. Referee Herb Dean calls for a stoppage in the last few seconds. The fight ends after the restart. Amazing fight.
