TJ Dillashaw- Aljamain Sterling- Petr Yan
TJ Dillashaw is a legend of the sport and has been around in UFC since 2011. The California native won his first Bantamweight title back in 2014 and defended it twice only to lose it to Dominick Cruz in 2016. The fighter reclaimed the title after defeating Cody Garbrandt at UFC 217 in 2017 and even defended it once.
But Dillashaw was then stripped of the title in 2019 after he failed a drug test. After two years of suspension, he came back to the Bantamweight division and fought Cory Sandhagen and won the fight. During the fight, Dillashaw had a knee injury which has kept him out of the sport for a year now.
Currently, TJ Dillashaw is aiming for the title shot next and hence will have an keen interest on the upcoming fight between Aljamain Sterling vs Petr Yan.

TJ Dillashaw predicts the winner of the upcoming Bantamweight title fight
Dillashaw recently did an interview with MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn about the Petr Yan vs Aljamain Sterling fight at UFC 273.
The former Bantamweight champion explained that he thinks that Yan is the real champion and he’s going to prove that in the fight this Saturday night. Dillashaw gave credit to Sterling for being a strong challenger with impressive grappling skills. But according to Dillashaw, Yan is simply the better fighter and has that amazing mentality. In the end, Dillashaw confirmed that he is coming back at the end of 2022 and he expects to fight Yan for the Bantamweight belt.
“I think Petr Yan is the real champ, I think he’s gonna show that. Look, where in the world of MMA, anything can happen. Sterling’s a strong competitor, great grappler but all around athlete. I think that Petr Yan is more the fighter, right. He’s got that mentality. He is the guy I expect to fight coming up here at the end of the year,” said Dillashaw.
Surely both the challengers are looking great and have the capability to win the fight. Even though ‘The Funkmaster’ won the last fight via disqualification, it’s not logical to ignore his other achievements inside the octagon. But going into the fight, Yan is definitely the favourite and fight fans are excited to see him getting what he deserves.
