In an interview with TMZ Sports, Belal talked about getting as many fights as possible in order to stay active and fight for the title shot, but he wants some legit names to his resume, which includes Jorge Masvidal as well.
“I just brought Masvidal, I’m right ahead of him,” says Belal, “He fought for the title twice, I just beat [Demian] Maia who fought for the title twice, Wonderboy [Stephen Thompson] who fought for the title twice. [So] I will take Masvidal who fought for the title twice. I beat two guys that beat him already back to back. For him beating me will erase those two losses a little bit, that’s why it really makes sense,” he concluded.
