WATCH: Nate Diaz and AJ McKee get into a heated backstage fight at the Paul-Woodley II event
AJ McKee- Nate Diaz
It’s not very often unlike long ago when someone with the last name Diaz goes in a full-fledged scuffle so often, but when either Nick or Nate Diaz do happen to be in so, they always make the loud noise. While Nick is usually out of the public eye except for his appearance on any meet and greets and his Instagram, it’s Nate who’s more active in the fighting scenario, on and off stage.
Nate Diaz was recently seen much often during the fight week of the December 18 boxing event headlined by the rematch between Jake Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. In the preliminary card, Diaz’s longtime teammate Chris Avila is fighting Anthony Taylor in the super middleweight category. Now, it seems like it’s a fight not between 2 fighters, but rather 2 teams.
Nate Diaz and Chris Avila get it on backstage with Anthony Taylor and team, including Bellator MMA champion AJ McKee
At the weigh-in ceremony for the Paul-Woodley II fight card, backstage saw a scuffle between Chris Avila and his opponent Anthony Taylor which escalated to Avila’s team including UFC Welterweight Nate Diaz getting on with Taylor’s team including Bellator MMA’s undefeated featherweight champion AJ McKee.
Watch the video posted by TMZ below to make an assessment of the situation yourself.
What do you make of this situation and Diaz’s side of the story put out by Avila at the end of it? Meanwhile, McKee tells his part of the story in another video posted by Boxing Social. According to McKee, Diaz and his team tried to initiate the scuffle. Who do you think was right in responding physically to the situation? Also, who do you got it winning between Chris Avila and Anthony Taylor?
