“He sucks at MMA,” Ben Askren claims can beat Nate Diaz in UFC fight, wishes to be the last bout of Diaz’s contract

It has been long since Ben Askren took off his hat in the sport of MMA and didn’t turn to combat except for a boxing match where he didn’t last long but definitely made a lot of money. Askren has since been into his own podcast and coaching wrestling to the upcoming amateurs of his state.

However lately, Askren teamed up with Youtuber and pro-boxer Jake Paul in order to shed some harsh light on UFC Megastar Nate Diaz‘s career, he was only complimenting on Paul’s boxing when Diaz took a jab at Askren’s striking himself. This led to Askren unloading a series of savage tweets at Diaz.

Responding to Nate Diaz’s aforementioned tweet that said “Coming from a retired wrestler who can’t fight or box,” Askren came out with his own jab and tweeted back “Nate is right, I suck at boxing. He sucks at MMA. If he wants me to prove it I can be in the USADA pool tomorrow. Would be happy to be the last fight on his contract.”

After issuing the challenge for an MMA fight in the first tweet, in the second tweet, Askren sought of makes it obvious that he is the clear winner between him and Nate if they ever get inside the octagon. Replying to a fan’s tweet, he says, “You would have to be an idiot to think Nate beats me in an MMA fight.”

In the final tweet, Askren posts a clip of Nate Diaz running away from Jorge Masvidal in order to avoid the flying knee from the latter, the same way Askren was knocked out by Masvidal in a matter of five seconds, ending Askren’s 19-fight win streak in his MMA career. He captioned “Real men run towards danger, COWARDS run away @NateDiaz209

Askren would’ve thought of calling out shots against someone in the top-5 of the welterweight division if it was for the legacy, but seems like Askren understands the business and that a deal with Nate Diaz would bring fortunes to his pocket. Diaz however, has a whole lot of other options under his sleeves as he receives callouts out of Vicente Luque, Khamzat Chimaev, and Tony Ferguson. He can also roll out his dice against a trilogy with Conor McGregor but that would take a long time considering McGregor’s recovery phase. What do you think about a fight between Askren and Diaz?
