“Better opportunity versus Kara-France” Brandon Moreno believes Deiveson Figueiredo is ducking him as he fears a loss

Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo
Former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno senses fear in his arch-rival Deiveson Figueiredo ahead of their fourth bout.
After Deiveson Figueiredo beat Brandon Moreno in the trilogy fight at UFC 270, it was almost guaranteed that the two flyweight kings will run it back for the fourth time in 2022. Both Deiveson and Brandon are tied 1-1 in their three meetings with a win each and a draw.
The fans and the promotion were really looking forward to seeing the two fighters again for a fourth fight to officially seal the rivalry. However, with the rise of another flyweight contender in Kai Kara-France, the Brazilian champ has shown more interest in him rather than pushing for the fight against Moreno.

In a recent interview with ESPN Deportes, Brandon believes this action from Deiveson can only mean that the champ is scared to fight the Assassin Baby. “I’ve already talked to the UFC, with the top guys in the promotion and they told me that the fourth fight is set,” said Moreno talking to a reporter from ESPN Deportes.
Brandon lost the trilogy fight via unanimous decision however believed he should have won the fight in his first title defense. Moreno also defeated Figueiredo via submission at UFC 263.
“He is running away from me” Brandon Moreno on Deiveson’s interest to fight Kai Kara-France

“So I think at this point Deiveson is running away from me. I’m not lying. UFC wants Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno number 4,” said Moreno in his recent interview. “I’ve said yes already, but the other party hasn’t.”
Kai Kara-France recently beat Askar Askarov to jump into the number 2 spot in the UFC flyweight rankings. The Kiwi is surely in the mix for a title fight and the chances are he might get to fight if the Brazilian wants to face him. Moreno believes Kara-France is an easier target for Deiveson than himself so the champ would rather fight the #2 contender.
“Chances for him to lose against me are very high and he sees a better opportunity versus Kara-France to keep the belt and make some money,” says Moreno. Who do you think should be in line for the flyweight belt next?
