Colby Covington now has a rival in the heavyweight division. The UFC welterweight has managed to piss off yet another fighter and Tai Tuivasa is ready to fight him anytime, anywhere.

Colby Covington has an opponent ready after his fight against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272. The “Chaos” takes on his former friend in the main event of UFC 272 in a blockbuster main event fight hed at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ahead of this huge PPV, Australia ‘s finest UFC fighters, Alexander Volkanovski and Tai Tuivasa sat down for a preview show on Fox Sports Australia.

The show has Tuivasa and Colby respond to the other’s questions and thoughts about them. It is safe to say that “Bam Bam” sure is not a fan of Covington. The welterweight and heavyweight have ready had a violent interaction and things got heated in a hotel lobby. A footage of Tuivasa losing his cool and throwing a boomerang at Covington went viral and it was reported that Colby called the cops on Tuivasa. But the PPV star denies those claims and says Tai was just trying to make a name for himself by using Colby’s.

Colby says, “I didn’t call the cops. I love how everybody lies about me because I am the ‘bad guy’. Everybody says this narratives and lies to the media to put themselves over. I never called the cops on him. We were at a hotel lobby so the hotel called the cops on him.”

After watching Colby’s response, Alex and Tai were enjoying the reaction and “Bam Bam” gets asked if he would want to fight Colby in the near future. “He’s a rat,” said Tuivasa responding to Tuivasa. He then went on to emphasize he could fight Colby “wherever”. “Catch me outside,” said Tai to Colby for a potential fight in the octagon or anywhere the two stars meet each other next.

Tuivasa is coming off a victory against former title contender Derrick Lewis at UFC 271. The Sydney fighter has a built himself a fanbase in his short time in the promotion. What do you make of Tuivasa threatening Covington?
