UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman are one of the most deadliest fighters in the sport. Adesanya(20-0) has always been proud of his place of origin, which is Nigeria. Usman(17-1) on the other hand, is nicknamed “The Nigerian Nightmare” which shows how much proud he is of his nation.
Nigeria has been going through a tough crisis right now with protests by the Nigerian citizens in regard to the widely hated SARS (Special Anti Robbery Squad).

As protests took over in Nigeria peacefully, there have been reports that a number of people have been shot at a protest in Lekki, a suburb of the city. A 24-hour curfew planned for Lagos, a key commercial hub and Africa’s most populous city with an estimated 20 million residents, was delayed to allow commuters to return home.
A fellow Nigerian and Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman took to Twitter to talk about the incident that has now made news worldwide. He says that he cannot feel the pain of the people right now but this has been going along for generations. He also urged the Nigerian President Mr. Buhari to stand up for what is right for the Nigerian citizens.
UFC Middleweight Champion “The Last Stylebender” Israel Adesanya retweeted Usman’s post saying-
The protests began with calls for a much-hated police unit, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (Sars), to be disbanded. President Muhammadu Buhari did then dissolve the unit. Which has been accused of illegal detentions, assaults and shootings, on 11 October. The demonstrators have called for more changes in the security forces as well reforms the way the country is run. However, criminals have hijacked the protests “to unleash mayhem”.
We pray that everything goes well and peace is brought in the country once again. #prayfornigeria
