Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal just went down in the main event of UFC 272. MMA stars and celebrities have reacted to this grudge match and have some interesting thoughts to share about the five-round intense fight.
Colby Covington has silenced his haters once again. The UFC welterweight title contender came on to the biggest stage and delivered as he promised. Covington took on his former friend Masvidal and put down a beating upon him for five rounds to get a win by unanimous decision. A dominant display at the T-Mobile Arena and completely nullifying the skills of Masvidal was quite the sight.
Any fight that involves Covington is sure to get a reaction out of its audience and this time it sure did. Two of the biggest draws in the sport fighting against each other can only mean that everyone in the world is tuned in to watch them at their best. UFC 272 drew massive attention and the stars didn’t hold back with their reactions on Twitter.

It is safe to say that lightweight title contender Justin Gaethje absolutely hates the guts of Colby. The fighter was very clear with his intentions when he prayed for Covington to be knocked out before the fight. “Colby Cuckington goes to sleep!” wrote Gaethje.
After defeating Jorge, Covington already had a fighter to call out for his next fight. Dustin Poirier, arch-rival to Covington has been going back and forth with the “Chaos” and we might just see him in the octagon against Covington next.
The Paul brothers, who were former friends of Miami’s superstar “Gamebred” Masvidal were totally not impressed by Masvidal’s performance. “nvm Masvidal super beatable” wrote Logan watching the fight as Covington showed pure dominance in the cage. Jake Paul wrote, “First of all Masvidal you ain’t rich.”
Ben Askren who was part of the fastest knockout in the history of UFC against Masvidal saw his moment and totally capitalized on it. Masvidal got a tattoo of the “flying knee” that knocked Askren in the first round and after he lost the fight Askren wrote, “For real that tattoo looks like shit.”
Former two-division champion Triple C could not help but commend Colby for his dominating performance. “Hate him or hate him less, Colby Covington is a gamer,” wrote Triple C.
