Neil Magny vs Max Griffin takes up a spot in the main card at UFC Columbus following the cancellation of Ilir Latifi vs Aleksei Olenik at the last minute.
UFC Columbus takes place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The fight night is headlined by a stunning heavyweight bout between Curtis Blaydes and Chris Daukaus. As far as this fight is concerned, the two welterweight fighters take the spots of Ilir Latifi and Aleksei Oleinik after that fight got canceled. Neil Magny vs Max Griffin is a fight that you don’t want to miss out on.
Both Neil and Max are veterans of the sport and are ready to take on anybody, any place, any time. Griffin is coming off a three-fight winning streak and will look to continue his good run in the octagon. Neil, on the other hand, is 4-1 in his last five fights. Round 1 Both the fighters take the center of the octagon. Max drew first blood with a leg kick but gets one in return from Neil. A strong punch from Griffin sets Neil in the back foot. Magny tried to find his rhythm with front kicks but Griffin, unfazed responded with a hard straight punch that drops his opponent. Magny is not hurt so he gets back to his feet seconds later. Both the fighters are in a fiery exchange before the bell goes off.
Round 2 Both the fighters get into a heated exchange as the round begins. Griffin with a decent outside leg kick but action is stopped as the fighter accidentally eye poked his opponent. The fight resumed and Max took off where he left. An amazing combination for Max! Magny attempts for a change of levels but his opponent keeps the fight on the feet. Magny pushes Griffin against the fence as the bell goes for the second round!
Round 3 Both the fighters swing and get into another exchange. Magny goes for the takedown and managed to get the back of Griffin this time. Magny with a couple of punches from the back. Griffin trying to set free from the clinch and Magny goes for the piledriver in the end to finish the fight. Amazing performance from both the fighters.
