Henry Cejudo calls out Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor has a former two-division champion eyeing him for his return to the octagon. Henry Cejudo is suggesting a lightweight matchup against the Notorious One as the Irishman edges closer to completing his recovery and stepping into the octagon.

Conor McGregor has been gone for quite a while now but still has a long line f fighters waiting to sign the contract to fight him. The most recent addition to that list is former two-division UFC champion, Henry Cejudo. Cejudo is also eyeing a comeback from retirement and believes McGregor would be the perfect fit for his return story.

In a recent tweet, McGregor showed the world his progress from the foot injury. Henry, not only had some tips for the Irishman on his technique but also called him out for a fight. “Your hands are down and your distance is off. Stay away from them yes men. Just a tip from the [GOAT]” wrote Cejudo in his recent tweet.

“Triple C” decided to hang his gloves after defending his bantamweight belt against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 in 2020. The fighter has not fought in the octagon since. However, has been teasing a return in recent months. While Cejudo browses through potential opponents for his return, he believes Conor would be the perfect match.

Cejudo was a flyweight and bantamweight fighter. A lightweight matchup would be a huge leap for ‘Triple C’ and it is no rocket science. “The same reason why you let people chew that front leg is the same reason why I would stop you,” wrote Cejudo in his reply to his previous comments on the Irishman.

“What do you say I make my comeback at 155?” he wrote, tagging the UFC boss, Dana White in his tweet. McGregor is recovering from his injury at UFC 264 and is looking to make his return this fall. Cejudo on the other hand has made several appearances in the fighting world as he coaches some of the best fighters in UFC.
