Conor McGregor impresses fans as he dumbbell presses an insane amount of weight

Conor McGregor
UFC megastar Conor McGregor is one powerful man, as evident from his knockouts, but so should be evident from his weight training as well. McGregor, the former 2-division of champion of the UFC, was in a recovery phase from an injury incurred in his last fight at UFC 264 back in July of 2021 when he fractured his shin bone in his trilogy against Dustin Poirier, which cost him a loss in his record as well. However, McGregor didn’t stop grinding as he was able enough to keep going on with his weight training.

So far, McGregor has come back to training in mixed martial arts as well. As per head coach John Kavanagh, McGregor has successfully completed his recovery stage, which included surgery that inculcated a titanium plate in the shin bone. As per UFC President Dana White, if everything goes smoothly, McGregor is expected to return in the fall of this year. On his return, McGregor has recently expressed his wish to fight for a third UFC belt by facing the current welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman.

In his last interview with The Mac Life, McGregor told that he would not be able to cut weight to get back at lightweight and would prefer to have the rest of his career cemented in the welterweight division. Well, it is pretty much clear why McGregor would say so. In an Instagram story, McGregor showed a glimpse of his weight training that also showed his bold muscle mass as the by-product.
In the story feature, McGregor is doing a dumbbell press and has added a text as well that says the weight of the dumbbells. McGregor is seen picking up 42 kgs (92.5 lbs) on each hand, which makes up for a total double press of 84 kgs.
