“He is a fool now,” Conor McGregor snaps hard on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s legacy, guess who fires back
Conor McGregor-Khabib Nurmagomedov
Conor McGregor is someone to not to take notes when he has his bad bloods being praised here and there, then and now. This is not something new for “The Notorious” is now known for his infamous Twitter beefs with fighters and sometimes, their managers too.
McGregor last fought at UFC 264 where he lost after the first round doctor stoppage due to the fracture of the shin bone in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. The former UFC two-division champion McGregor is expected to be in complete mixed-martial-arts training from April of next year onwards. Until now, it’s not sure if he has any big things planned in any way for his fans other than enjoying the time of his life.
Conor McGregor brutally critiques Khabib Nurmagomedov’s legacy on Twitter, the latter’s manager gets in to clap back
MMA Management consultancy, Dominance MMA is known for its exclusive coverage on their fighters’ lifestyle through their video series available on Youtube titled Anatomy of a Fighter. The series is directed by combat sports film director Will Harris. Harris tweeted supporting retired, undefeated mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov, one of the fighters’ he used to cover on the series, on how Khabib was never about chasing the clout of greatness as a person but the media keeps dragging him for the same.
He tweeted “In my time around @TeamKhabib and his crew, I never once heard him say he was the greatest or wanted to be. In an episode in Dubai, Umar said that Khabib was the greatest and he made me take that part out of the video. The guy did not like that kind of talk when it came to him. The media stay dragging that narrative for clicks and views.”
To this, Khabib’s former opponent and one of the baddest rivals Conor McGregor responded to Harris’ tweet saying “He cried in the cage asking to be put on top of a media appointed list bro haha” Harris responded to the same with his own tweet saying “He deserved to be P4P at that moment and you can’t deny that…. Unless you wanted Jon at Number 1 when he wasn’t fighting?”
To this, McGregor responded in a rather detailed way “He was a good fighter for those few weeks alright lol. Retiring takes you from all lists though. He retired and at the same time cried to be placed on one. It debunks your few tweets saying he is not about that. He should have just kept quiet about Aldo. He is a fool now.”
McGregor is talking about the octagon interview of Khabib’s last fight at UFC 254, where the latter claimed that he should be in the P4P #1 position of the UFC pound for pound rankings for his legacy and contribution as a champion of the lightweight division, after which Khabib retired with a record of 29 wins and no losses.
After seeing this, Dominance MMA Founder and Khabib’s former manager Ali Abdelaziz took to Twitter to respond to McGregor’s interaction with Harris saying “Shut up boy you on your team before you talk need to win some fights”
What do you make of this ongoing rivalry between a fighter and a manager of his former opponent and rival. This bad blood between Conor McGregor and Ali Abdalaziz is one of a kind. Do you see anything different about this? Also, if McGregor returns to the octagon, who do you think he should fight next? Maybe one of the fighters under Ali’s Dominance MMA banner?
