Conor McGregor faces twitter outrage over false claims regarding the famous UFC 274 front kick. UFC 274 experienced one of the most brutal Knockouts in the history of the promotion. In the fight between Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson, Chandler dropped ‘El Cucuy’ with a nasty front kick to the chin.
After the fight was over, UFC superstar Conor McGregor took to Twitter to share one of his old tweets with a picture of him front kicking his opponent.
In the captions ‘ The Notorious’ mentioned that he was the first fighter to start these kinds of front kicks to the face. McGregor revealed that it was in his debut fight against Marcus Brimage.
“I was the first to start football punt kicks to the face of standing opponents. This is my debut. I call it the “over the bar” kick.

UFC fans criticized Conor McGregor for taking credit for introducing the kick
After McGregor tweeted about him being the first fighter to come up with the kick it prompted many fans to call out the fighter for his wrong claims.
One fan named @TheGibronTheory mocked McGregor for not knowing anything about MMA. He reminded the fighter about Anderson Silva kicking Vitor Conor with a front kick in 2011. The fan also explained that Silva started it, Chandler did the best version of it and McGregor is not even in the discussion.
” I think you don’t know anything about MMA. Also when Anderson kicked Vitor Conor wasn’t in the UFC. Anderson did it first. Chandler just did it best. Conor is not in the convo.
Another fan pointed out McGregor for lying as Silva did the front kick in 2011 and McGregor did it in 2013. The fan also asked McGregor to take credit from the GOAT.
” That’s a lie. You did this kick in April 2013 vs Marcus Brimage. Anderson did it vs vitor in February of 2011. Stop tryna take credit from a goat
A Twitter user suggested Conor to watch previous fights in UFC befor making any such comments
It seems like McGregor didn’t see this outrage coming on his way when he posted that tweet about the front kick. It was amazing to see the fans react to this and not letting the legend of a fighter like Silva to go in vain.
