Sean O'Malley- Petr Yan

In the midst of all the visa troubles going on with his team, it seems like interim-UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan would finally have someone by his corner, by the grace of fellow bantamweight fighter Sean O’Malley. Yan is going to face undisputed UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, in a title unification rematch at UFC 273. Both the fighters first fought at UFC 259 last year when Yan knocked out Sterling in an illegal manner which led to Sterling becoming the new champion via disqualification.

However, Yan is facing a major setback as the fight date is nearing, Yan’s entire corner has been denied visa access to come to the United States. Yan is however allowed to come because he is been having US Visa for 3 years. Yan is currently 16-2 in his overall MMA career and is the former undisputed UFC bantamweight champion. The wins include the likes of Jose Aldo, Uriah Faber, Jimmie Rivera, Corey Sandhagen, and many more.

Yan shared a video from #13 ranked bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley, against who Yan has gone back and forth on Twitter before. O’Malley is one of the most promising aspects for a megastar and a future UFC champion. O’Malley is 15-1 in his overall MMA career and has finished 12 of his 16 fights, 11 of them via knockouts.

In the video, O’Malley says “Petr, heard you need a corner bug, let me know, I’m in Vegas, where the f**king fight’s down, let me know, I am gonna corner you baby one-two, one-two.” In the caption for the video, Yan wrote, “One corner spot is taken by @SugaSeanMMA [dog emoji]”

What do you make of O’Malley’s offer to help Yan in his title fight by joining his corner? Do you think O’Malley is trying to set up a fight for himself against Yan’s opponent Aljamain Sterling’s training partner Adrian Yanez since both O’Malley and Yanez are upcoming contender prospects and outstanding strikers in the same weight class of the UFC and have gone back and forth about each other via tweets and interviews? Who do you think wins the rematch between Yan and Sterling?
