Dale Brown and Khabib Nurmagomedov
Commander Dale Brown recently was at UFC APEX facility for UFC Fight Night: Walker vs Hill. The self-defense trainer was at the facility to be at the corner of UFC fighter, Joaquin Buckley.
The move by Buckley to bring out Brown as a cornerman shocked many fight fans because it was very unusual. However, the fighter expressed his motive behind calling out Brown after defeating Abdul Razak Alhassan via unanimous decision. While having his post-fight interview, Buckley said “When I realized UFC wasn’t promoting as it should…That’s why I brought this man in here, to help promote this fight. I probably never had as many people watching this fight.”
During his visit to UFC APEX, Brown met Khabib Nurmagomedov and clicked a picture with him. After that, he posted that on his official Instagram account.
Brown owns Detroit D.U.S.T which he co-founded with his wife, Mirela. Brown has a massive fan following online after his videos started to blow up on several social media platforms. In his videos, Brown shares techniques to disarm attackers with weapons. When he started making these videos he might have never expected that people would find it unintentionally funny. Many have made parodies and spoofs about these survival clips.
Khabib Nurmagomedov’s next fight as a coach
Currently, Nurmagomedov is busy preparing Islam Makhachev for his fight against Bobby Green at UFC Vegas 49. Originally, Makhachev was going to fight Beneil Dariush but due to an injury, Dariush couldn’t continue fighting.
Given the opportunity, Green decided to step in and take his chance against the Dagestani. The fight has a lot of significance for both the fighters and will be entertaining to watch. For Makhachev it might open up the gate to fight Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title. On the other hand, Green can get a massive boost in rankings if he beats someone like Makhachev.
For Nurmagomedov, it is an opportunity to help his childhood friend to continue a similar path like him in becoming the undisputed champion. Along with that, enhance his record as a professional coach.
